Thanks to the National Policy on Community Education and Training Colleges 2015. Emfuleni Community College is established to be sensitive to the needs of its communities. It will primarily target youth and adults who for various reasons did not complete their basic education schooling or who never attended school. ECC will be multi campus institutions which would be adding other campuses where necessary depending on the student's enrolments and programmes.
Even though ECC is a public-private faith-based college, which is in partnerships with community-owned or private institutions such as other educational and training institutions in order to enhance its capacity to meet the education and training needs of youth and adults" in and around Emfuleni local municipality.
